Tours run from April to September each year and are held twice daily on specified dates. Our tours are fully guided and begin at 10:45am and 2.30pm, each session lasting approximately 1 ½ hours.

We can accommodate up to a maximum of 50 visitors at any one time. Visitors will be guided around the Court in smaller groups of 16 or 17 people. Individuals or small groups may be amalgamated with other visitors until capacity has been reached. Alternatively if you wish to experience an exclusive tour please indicate this when you book. We regret that we cannot take bookings from anyone under the age of 16

Tours must be booked and paid for in advance. We cannot accommodate those who have not booked in advance. Please note that we have a no refund policy once tours have been booked and paid for.

On the day

Please follow the signs for Madresfield Court and proceed through the electrically operated gate at the end of the drive which will automatically open when your vehicle approaches. Your tour will start in the Playroom, situated within the stable block at Madresfield Court, where you will be welcomed by your tour guides. Although we do not have a designated car park at Madresfield Court, we kindly request you park in the area located close to the stable block.

If you are in a larger group for the tour, please ensure you arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to the tour start time.

If you are individuals or smaller groups, please ensure you arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to the tour start time.

You will be fully guided throughout the tour which will take approximately 1 ½ hours. Our guides will provide you with a history of the court and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. After your guided tour of Madresfield Court you are welcome to enjoy the 69 acres of formal and informal garden surrounding the Court.

No photographs or films are to be taken during your tour.

Facilities & Accessibility

The tour involves quite a lot of standing and there are some steep stairs so you should bring any aids with you to make your visit more enjoyable. If you have a disability which may require special arrangements to be made please contact us prior to booking your tour, and we will do all that we can to accommodate your needs.

Please note that there are no audio aids for the tours and our guides only speak English.

WC Facilities are available in the Playroom where your tour will commence and finish.

There are no refreshment facilities at Madresfield Court, however please click on the Local Links page for local pubs & Restaurants who will welcome your custom.

Terms and Conditions

  • The Madresfield Estate reserve the right to cancel a tour at any time prior to its commencement and at the Madresfield Estates complete discretion. In such an event customer will be offered either a full refund or the opportunity to book onto an alternative tour date within a 12-month period, subject to availability. The Madresfield Estate will not be held liable for any consequential loss incurred as a result of the cancelation of a Tour.
  • Please note CCTV is in operation in various locations around the premises.
  • Tours of Madresfield Court are fully guided in groups of up to 15 and follow a set route. The tour takes approximately 1.5 hours and due to the nature of the property involves steep stairs and limited opportunities to sit. Portable stools are available for visitors to use during the tour, however should you or any member of your party be unable to climb stairs or stand for long periods it is essential that prior notification is given to The Estate Office at the time of booking or a minimum of 7 days prior to the tour on 01684 573614 or This will enable, wherever possible, reasonable adjustments to be made to accommodate those with mobility issues.
